The Starting Five NBA Rappers

NBA Rappers Ron Artest

Are we surprised that this Queensbridge native had dreams of becoming a rapper? I think not! Ron Artest, better known as Metta World Peace, dropped a 21 track album titled, My World. In fact, it’s literally on Apple music if you care to add it to your library. There’s a song called, “Haters” where he attacks NBA Commissioner, David Stern, suggesting he needs to “learn a few things about the ghetto”. There was never a dull moment when World Peace was in the league, similarly, his rap antics were very entertaining! In 2010 he founded, Artest Media Group, which included a variety of artist that he’d ultimately manage. In 2013, police actually rushed his property after receiving a tip that gunplay had transpired at his residence. Fortunately nobody was injured, as World Peace explained that the culprits were actors in a music video shoot. All Ron wants is WORLD PEACE. Let’s hope he hasn’t permanently halted his rap career, considering he probably has a lot more left in the tank! An official soundcloud account hasn’t been found but his music is still floating in cyberspace somewhere!
