America’s most hated human is undeniably the infamous Donald Trump. The former TV personality’s antics have catapulted him to a level of celebrity he could have never fathomed back when he was firing celebrities on NBC.
On top of his fame, the current POTUS is also an eccentric billionaire with assets rumoring to total upwards of ten billion dollars. On par with most billionaires and millionaires, Donald Trump boasts an extensive collection of high-end automobiles. The vehicles in his stable range from the obvious, like a Rolls Royce Phantom to the obscure, such as his all-gold motorcycle. Presumably, the 24K motorcycle was built to match Trump’s skin – or hair. The Donald even has a fleet nestled in his skyscraper, hundreds of feet above the peasants he rules over.
And whether you loathe or love Trump, it’s worth checking out some of the top vehicles he worked so hard to acquire.
Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud
As most elitists tend to be, Donald Trump is also a diehard fan of the luxury brand, Rolls Royce. This particular 1956 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud is known to be one of Trump’s first major vehicle purchases. The Silver Cloud clearly holds more continental value than anything as these aging dinosaurs hardly pull a premium at auction. Not exactly the best business decision but at least he looks fancy, right?
Diablo translates to “Devil” in Spanish. The Lamborghini Diablo was one Donald’s Trumps favorite cars, which is more than fitting. The Italian supercar was produced from 1990-2001 and was known as one the quintessential high-end vehicles in the world at one time. Trump’s former fascination with the Diablo stemmed from its flamboyant styling, outrageous performance and ultra-high price tag. This particular custom electric blue Diablo formerly owned by Mr. Trump has changed hands multiple times and time will only tell whether its value will increase or plummet.
Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren
Outrageous design with butterfly doors and a Formula 1 inspired nose, as well as 5.4 liter supercharged V8 engine with a power of 617 bhp made this car one of the best performers of its era. With a price of $455,000, only the elite could own it. That is where Trump enters into the fray, buying a McLaren SLR in 2005.Trump has always had an affinity for the Mercedes-Benz brand, owning dozens of models from the German automaker. Mercedes’ first true foray into the super car world was actually a joint project with McLaren Automotive and the result was one of the most sought-after vehicles in history. As hard to believe as it may be, S-L-R actually does not stand for Super Lazy & Rich in this instance – no matter how fitting. The acronym actually means “Sport Leicht Rennsport” (Sport Light Racing), which certainly describes this amazing automobile.
Cadillac has always been the car that the kinda-rich people aspire to acquire. When a billionaire owns or drives one, it’s more likely they’re appeasing their constituents because these cars were never more than a polished Buick. To Trump’s credit, he’s own multiple Cadillacs and this unique Allante may be the most out of place. This convertible somehow packed a V8 under the hood. This particular vehicle is said to be a gift directly from Cadillac and Trump more than likely has never been behind the wheel.
Trump owning a Tesla at any point in his life was more than likely a publicity stunt or at most, a potential conversation piece. It could even be argued that owning an electric car could potentially hurt his credit with his base as they tend to like loud, smog-laden automobiles and think going green is for women. The Tesla Roadster was never very popular but it did provide a foundation for the vehicle we see on the streets today.
Trump Gold Car – Dartz Motors Concept Car
Dartz Motors is a Latvian-based automotive outfit that produces outlandish military-spec vehicles. Dartz Motors’ owner, Leonard Yankelovich composed a rendering of what he deems to be the ultimate presidential vehicle, custom catered to President Trump. Sadly, the #TrumpMobile will never see the light of the day but even the thought is enough for most of us to get a good laugh.
The Ferrari F430, which was the 360’s predecessor, featured a 4.3L V8 in the rear and could sprint to 60 MPH in under four seconds. Although it’s hard to imagine The Donald behind the wheel of such a gorgeous piece of machinery, it’s been confirmed that he’s had at least one F430 in his collection. This particular fairly-stock Ferrari is planned to be auctioned-off at the end of the month! The true question is will the next owner covet the fine Ferrari – or desecrate it?
Rolls Royce Phantom
In American car culture, there simply isn’t a more grandiloquent, snooty luxury vehicle than the Rolls Royce Phantom. It’s size alone thwarts average onlookers from even daring to approach. The Phantom’s price tag also is a bit intimidating with a cost upwards of half a million dollars. It comes as no surprise that there’s multiple photos circulating of Donald Trump actually driving such a vehicle.
