Sneaker Grandpa

A glimpse inside this old head’s closet won’t reveal any doctor recommended orthopedic shoes.

As humans, it’s natural for our preferences to change with age. While most old habits stay the same we tend to lose interest in things that once captivated us. Stunning visual documentation has shown this isn’t the case for Mr. Patrick Dempsey, better known as, the Sneaker Grandpa.

Sneaker Grandpa
As an OG Sneakerhead, Mr. Dempsey boasts an extravagant collection of limited quantity kicks. A glimpse inside this old head’s closet won’t reveal any doctor recommended orthopedic shoes. Instead you’ll be awakened to the fact that this senior sneakerhead has one of the dopest collections on the planet. Here’re some of the 43 year old Austin Native’s most prized kicks.

1. Air Jordan 1 Bred

This seasoned sneakerhead is rarely interested in top tier Jordan releases. Dispeleased with modern quality standards and rising prices, he normally turns his nose up to the Jumpman. He refers to them as red and black and refuses to use the term, “Bred”. Sheesh, don’t be so stubborn gramps!

2. Kendrick Lamar x Reebok Classic Leather

Let me find out the Sneaker Grandpa is bumping Kendrick’s new album! While this may not necessarily be the case, Mr. Dempsey is an avid fan of collabs. According to him collabs tend to be of much higher quality than standard releases. Combine that with limited availability and cultural significance, and these are a must cop!

3. Concepts x Vans Sk8-Hi Syndicate Purple Croc

Purple croc-embossed leather?! Theres aren’t your typical, disposable skate shoes that you’ll find at a local skate shop. Premium detailing and signature branding elevate this classic silhouette to collectors status. Are you jealous this senior sneakerhead is able to pull these off better than most people your age? Stay tuned, his closet keeps getting doper!

4. Pharrell Williams x Adidas Stan Smith Jacquard

Thanks: 📷 @studiorobinsdempsey and @cbbullock for the retail alert on this incredible pair.

Jacquard, floral print across one of Adidas’ most famed silhouettes. If you’re looking for a pair today, be prepared to drop $300 cash in the resale market. Unless you’re plugged like Mr. Dempsey, the likelihood of you copping a pair at retail is pretty slim. Chances are you can’t rock them like Ol’ Pat!

5. Nike SB Dunk High Tiffany

What’s a sneaker collection without an offering from Nike SB? Securing a pair of Tiffany’s is a sheer indication of style. There’s no shortage of variety in this grandpa’s collection. His knowledge of sneakers is far beyond the realm of today’s younger sneakerheads. Browse his IG account and peep some of his latest pickups.
